Free Lesson 6
Make a Song or a Simple Game with AI
AI can be a creative partner, too. In this quick lesson you will use one prompt to create a short, upbeat song and a simple word game about a topic you love.
The Formula
Role, Task, Details, Format
Great prompts tell AI four things: who to be (Role), what to do (Task), the facts that make it fit you (Details), and how the answer should look (Format).
BYTE's Tip
Want to talk instead of type? Press Search + D on your Chromebook and just speak.
Weak prompt
Make a song.
AI does not know the topic, the mood, or the length you want.
Strong prompt
You are a fun songwriter. Write a short, upbeat song about [a topic you love] with two verses and a catchy chorus. Then give me a simple word game I can play with friends about the same topic, with easy rules.
Role, Task, Details, and Format give AI everything it needs.
Try It Now
- Copy the strong prompt with the button above.
- Open Google Gemini or ChatGPT in a new tab and paste it in.
- Fill in a topic you love, like a hobby, a place, or a favorite food.
- Ask AI to change the style, like country, rap, or a lullaby.
- Share the song and play the game with friends or family.
